Lost City Santa Marta
It is also known as Teyuna, which was built around the year 700, by an ancient indigenous settlement known as Tayrona belonging to the city of Santa Marta. It was built around the eighth century AD and is considered one of the main archaeological sites in the country.
It was discovered by guaqueros, archaeological treasure thieves, who were part of the recovery. It rises between 900 and 1,300 meters above sea level.
On the trip you will find a complex system of constructions, cobblestone roads, stairways and walls intercommunicated by a series of terraces and platforms on which they built ceremonial centers, houses and food storage sites.
There are more than 250 ancient villages of the four indigenous groups of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, called Kogui "the older brothers, the Wiwa people, the Arhuaco people and the Kankuamo people.

Take a swim in the rivers that are on the trail, after walking along the trail full of nature at about 27 degrees of temperature, it will be best to be able to refresh yourself in rivers and natural waterfalls that the park offers.

- Inform the agency in advance about your food preferences and/or any pathology or allergy you may have; the tour is not recommended for pregnant women, people with heart disease, digestive or respiratory problems. Include the medications you must take, the guides are not authorized to prescribe or provide them.
- The tour includes travel assistance insurance, however, if you are insured by an international or other type of policy, please notify us prior to the departure of the tour to facilitate the management in case of an accident.
- Your documents and valuables are not necessary to bring them to the tour, keep them in a safe place, the agency provides luggage storage service at no additional cost. Once on the tour, take care and pay attention to your belongings, the agency is not responsible for loss or damage.
- If you are going to take pictures or videos, remember to have enough memory.
- If you come with children, consult with your advisor, who will be the most convenient for everyone to enjoy the tour.
- Stay close to the group, follow the guide's instructions and recommendations, walk on authorized trails.
- Please note that the service of mules for the transportation of luggage or people, as well as the transportation of motorcycles, are not offered by the agency and are not included in the tour unless otherwise indicated; the use of motorcycles or mules is an agreement between the tourist and the person providing the service on the trail. Therefore, any eventuality (accidents, bad service, etc.) that may arise will be the sole responsibility of those parties. On the other hand, the assistance insurance does not cover damages caused by the use of motorcycles or pack animals.
- Take care of your food the day before the tour, avoid foods that may cause indigestion, intoxication or other adverse reactions, also avoid getting drunk or starting the tour under the effects of hallucinogenic substances.
- During the tour, avoid activities that put your physical integrity at risk, such as jumping from great heights, climbing trees or others.
- If you encounter animals along the way, do not feed them. Avoid using soaps, shampoos and others while bathing in rivers.
- Dispose of garbage at the points for this purpose, avoid using plastic bags and use environmentally friendly products, preferably take the waste generated to the city to reduce the waste load in this area.
