Putumayo end of the world waterfall
It is located in the south of Colombia, is the department that owes its name to the Putumayo River, has a mountainous relief to more than 3,800 meters above sea level and part of the Amazon plain. It is incredibly rich because of the rivers that make it up, for this reason it has a great biodiversity and makes it very interesting for the Ecotourism.
There are two national natural parks, La Playa and Serranía de los Churumbelos Auka Wasi, characterized by being an enigmatic jungle region, full of ethnic traditions for its different cultures between indigenous, mestizos and Afro-descendants.
End of the World Waterfall: Making a level 3 hike through different points of the route you will find a very natural and attractive landscape passing through natural bridges until arriving at a 70 meters high waterfall where the water flow is thrown into the void, we will see the majesty and imposing. From the lower part you can see the great waterfall bathing in the lagoon.
Licamancha Caves: You will be able to go spelunking in which organized tours are made in a recreational way, going through the dissolution of rock over the years, there is a stream of water that crosses and flows into the river Caqueta, stalactites and stalagmites can be seen, as well as cave fauna such as bats, reptiles, fish and a variety of insects.
Mandiyaco Canyon: Located 25 kilometers from Mocao, we find these rock formations of volcanic origin, the flow of the river is through the middle of the rock, if the river is not swollen you can make the crossing by canoe.
Amazon Experimental Center: It is a place for the preservation of flora and fauna, as well as for research that helps the community in the knowledge of nature. There is a collection of medicinal plants.
Maitus Wasi: Visit the community in the Inga ethnotourism center, in the healing center where art, culture, and traditional medicine are still preserved, a sacred space that seeks the purification of the human body and spirit with a ceremony of the sacred plant yagé, you will have the encounter of the natural and the magical through an experience with a cultural experience full of traditions of the taitas or wise men in a cosmogonic social context.
Adventure activities during the trip to Pumayo, such as Cayoning in the Hornoyaco waterfall. Trekking by the different natural paths to arrive to the beautiful waterfalls, explore the caves in the rock formations that nature has given us, Kayak by the Guineo River in calm waters full of nature, peace and Amazonian landscape.
Taste the food of the area that for years has been keeping its traditions, organic food grown in the area, without pollutants. Typical food: guinea pig, frito pastuso (fried pork), Hornado aliñado (stuffing and lapingachos (pork), empanadas añejo, chapús, locro pastuso soup (vegetables, 3 different kinds of potatoes and beans).

- Carry a first aid kit that includes polyvalent antiophidic and antidiarrheal serum.
- Wear rubber boots, cotton clothing, long-sleeved waterproof shirts, flashlight, protective hat, insect repellent.
- Do not carry elements that generate contamination.
- Bring personal medications if you are undergoing medical treatment.
- Wear a poncho type plastic cape.
- It is advisable to carry a large backpack for all the luggage and not wheeled suitcases for the trips to the destination and the region, and a small backpack for the outings.
- It is very important to keep in mind that this is a trip to the jungle; it is a program of experiences to share with the communities, eat local food and sleep in basic conditions in hotels or community lodges, so it is warned and clarified that there are no conditions for luxury services.
